Sheila, or 'Nee' Hanna, as she was known to her closest family, passed away on January 9th, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Her passing has brought immense sorrow to her family, but it is with great respect and admiration that we pay tribute to her life.
Sheila was a devoted mother to Laura, Aaron, Shea, Ciaran, and James, and a doting grandmother to Oisín. Her love extended to her parents, Eddie and Teresa Hanna, and her siblings, Maeve, Eamonn, Bronagh, Theresa, Kathryn, and David. The Hanna and Elliott families are now united in grief, but also in their celebration of Sheila's life.
But here's where it gets controversial... In a world where death is often a taboo topic, we must confront it head-on and honor those we've lost. Sheila's funeral arrangements reflect the importance of this tradition.
Sheila's body will be present at Patsy Taggart's Funeral Home, located at 4a Western Business Park, Coalisland, BT71 4ND. The family has invited friends and well-wishers to pay their respects during the following times: 6 pm to 9 pm on Saturday and 12 noon to 9 pm on Sunday. This is a chance for the community to come together and support one another during this difficult time.
On Monday, a solemn procession will take place, leading to St. Patrick's Church in Clonoe for a Requiem Mass at 11 am. The final resting place for Sheila will be in the adjoining cemetery, where her loved ones can visit and remember her.
And this is the part most people miss... The extended family and friends of Sheila are deeply affected by her loss. Her sons, daughter, grandson, father, mother, brothers, sisters, and their respective partners, nieces, and nephews, all feel the weight of this sorrow.
